Job Description

Job Purpose :

Ensure that all components such as products and services comply with Shariah by conducting research and acting as an internal Shariah advisor within the bank.

Key Accountabilities :

1. Conduct Shariah research to ensure proper implementation of the products of the business units.
2. Study and review all subjects of the bank to ensure compliance with Shariah regulations.
3. Review all agreements for the bank from a Shariah perspective.
4. Study the bank products to ensure that they meet the standards set by the Shariah committee.
5. Create applicable research that adds value to the bank.
6. Perform research or any other tasks as requested by the Head of SCB.
7. Act as a Shariah advisor within the bank as a line of advisory defense before the Shariah committee.
8. Collaborate with Shariah product specialists to develop new Shariah products, enhance existing products, and provide solutions to the business for their transactions to comply with Shariah.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in relevant fields.

Experience:

12 to 15 years in a relevant role.

Skills:

• Knowledge of Islamic Finance and Shariah products, along with strong communication and research writing skills.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English.
