Overview of the role:
Ensure courteous and professional handling of the customer during the latter's visit to Body shop and prepare estimates that ensure Customer Retention and Profitability.
What you will do:
- Execute assigned jobs according to established work standards, specifications and required time.
- Maintain the discipline of the service establishment, safe and clean reception area through strict adherence of company rules, regulations and procedures.
- Keep up with new technology, work procedures, time standards and relevant technical know-how to maintain or improve work productivity and quality.
- Meet & greet the customer as per BYD Standards & advise customer on necessary repairs and maintenance to formulate the best service plan for their budget and needs.
- Provide cost estimates to customers if required & answer questions posed by customers.
- Explain terms & conditions of Estimate/Repair to customer.
- Prepare work order & after approval assign technician to perform vehicle body repair for specific damage type.
- Maintain electronic and/or paper records of completed service work.
- Inspect work completed by Technicians before delivering vehicle to customer.
- Explain the work completed and make suggestions for future maintenance & provide billing statements and explain billing details to customer.
- Perform other tasks assigned by immediate superior or manager, if necessary.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities mentioned in the related business SOPs.
- Comply with the BYD Quality Management System and participate with organization’s improvement activities.
- Carry out work with care ensuring not to endanger the life either of themselves or others by their acts or omissions whilst complying with health and safety requirements of the company and preventing any harm to the environment.
Required skills to be successful:
- Knowledge of Body parts and general mechanical components of repair of Body & Paint.
- Product and process knowledge including EV structure.
- Technically proficient.
- Customer oriented.
What Equips You For The Role:
- 3 to 5 years overall experience with automotive industry, preferably in a similar service role related with EVs.
- Diploma or Bachelor of Automobile /Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be Saudi national.
