Senior Translation Specialist - Saudi National Only

Overview:

To provide written and oral translation and interpretation support from source to target language either manually or through the use of electronic or computerized systems to reduce language barriers for MELSA employees.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Type and translate from English to Arabic and vice versa all incoming/outgoing administration documents, letters, notices, salary offers, employment contracts, and other official correspondences.
• Using specialist dictionaries, thesauruses, and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used.
• Reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained.
• Prepare for translation by studying the text to be translated and researching the subject matter.
• Evaluate interpretation/translation by reviewing clarity and grammar and adjusting in meaning as necessary.
• Prepare the translation by dictating or keying the translated text.
• Proofreading and editing final translated versions.

Job Specifications:

• At least 5 years of experience providing translation services.
• Minimum bachelor's degree in English literature or a related field.
• Japanese language skills are a plus.
