Senior Structural Engineer

Black & Grey HR is hiring for a dynamic construction company in KSA. Our client is looking to hire a Senior Structural Engineer who will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and supervising the structural components of construction projects. This role ensures the safety, stability, and durability of structures while complying with design specifications, regulatory requirements, and project timelines. The Senior Structural Engineer provides technical expertise, manages complex structural challenges, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality construction outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Analysis:
   1. Develop and review detailed structural designs and specifications for buildings and infrastructure.
   2. Perform structural calculations to ensure the safety and stability of foundations, beams, columns, and other structural elements.
   3. Use advanced design and analysis software to simulate structural behavior under various loads.
2. Project Coordination and Management:
   1. Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of structural designs into overall projects.
   2. Provide technical guidance to on-site teams and address structural challenges during construction phases.
   3. Monitor structural progress and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
3. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
   1. Conduct site inspections to verify that construction complies with structural designs, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
   2. Identify and resolve structural discrepancies and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
   3. Ensure all structural work adheres to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
4. Cost and Resource Management:
   1. Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for structural components of the project.
   2. Optimize material usage and construction methods to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
   3. Coordinate with procurement teams to source structural materials and equipment.
5. Testing and Certification:
   1. Oversee material testing (e.g., concrete, steel) and ensure results meet project requirements.
   2. Supervise load tests and other assessments to validate structural performance.
   3. Certify structural components as fit for purpose and provide detailed documentation.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
   1. Maintain comprehensive records of structural designs, calculations, inspections, and modifications.
   2. Prepare progress reports, highlighting milestones, challenges, and resolutions for the Projects Manager.
   3. Contribute to the preparation of technical manuals, maintenance guidelines, and as-built drawings.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A master's degree is a plus.
2. Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on complex construction projects.
3. Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certifications preferred.

Skills:

1. Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, or Tekla Structures.
2. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and structural systems.
3. Familiarity with project management tools and construction site workflows.
