Senior Solution Architect - Physical Security Systems

Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Job Objective:
The physical security of sites, events, airports, and energy production is a key issue for Thales customers. It relies on a wide range of capabilities (information systems, networks, telecoms, infrastructure, civil engineering, etc.). The projects associated with the implementation of security and safety systems are highly innovative, international, and multi-industry in nature, requiring in-depth technical knowledge of the solutions and components, as well as mastery of the systems needed to successfully complete the projects. The role of PRS is to ensure the overall implementation of these projects by providing real added value based on products (SDP-Security Digital Platform) and controlling the overall engineering processes required for their deployment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Support customers in their technical choices and promote Thales solutions (SDP, etc.).
2. Describe and structure the architectures of future security systems in coordination with project teams and engineering teams.
3. Act as Design Authority.
4. Coordinate internal and external partners to achieve a coherent vision and architecture.
5. Participate in the costing of technical solutions and ensure their competitiveness.
6. Oversee the choice of technical solutions in a context of innovation that can extend into the next fifteen to thirty years.
7. Communicate solutions in support of PRS strategy, sales management, and domain management.
8. Participate and guide technical policy.

Work Experience Requirements:
15 years of experience in various Systems Engineering life cycle activities, with 5 years in different Technical Management positions.

Qualification, Certification & Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's in Electrical / Electronic / Computer / IT or relevant Engineering.

Preferred Skills:
The qualities needed to succeed in this role are:

1. A structured approach to systems architectures and associated modelling tools.
2. Wide-ranging technical skills in information systems, sensors, end-effectors, and network, radio, and operator managed services infrastructure.
3. A real understanding of the digital technologies deployed in the Cloud.
4. The ability to analyze operational needs and employment scenarios and extract technical requirements from them.
5. The ability to manage the technical contributors and various GBUs, assembly, and integration partners.
6. An innovative vision and a 15-year solution-building perspective, while maintaining a pragmatic and iterative approach to system delivery throughout the period.
7. A strong capacity for conviction that will support and lend credibility to Thales' strategic statements in this field.
