WSP Middle East is seeking a dynamic Senior Site IC Engineer to oversee and manage the instrumentation and control (IC) activities at our Zuluf Site. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Water sector and expertise in DCS, SCADA, Calibration, and Instrumentation systems. The role requires a deep understanding of process control, automation, and maintenance of instrumentation systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
Your new role, what's involved
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems at the Zuluf site.
- Ensure smooth operation and troubleshooting of DCS, SCADA, and PLC-based systems to maintain high efficiency and reliability.
- Perform calibration and maintenance of field instruments including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement devices.
- Develop, review, and update IC-related engineering documents, procedures, and standards to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems and ensure optimal performance of instrumentation equipment.
- Conduct site inspections, testing, and validation of control systems to comply with safety and industry regulations.
- Work closely with contractors and vendors to procure and install reliable instrumentation solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation failures and operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on IC best practices and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations in all IC activities.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control engineering, particularly in the Water sector.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with DCS, SCADA, PLCs, and Field Instrumentation.
- Proficiency in calibration and troubleshooting of industrial control instruments.
- Experience in site supervision, installation, and commissioning of IC systems.
- Knowledge of industrial automation, control strategies, and process optimization.
- Familiarity with international standards such as ISA, IEC, and ANSI related to instrumentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex IC issues.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in working with HSE and quality management systems.
