Senior Site Engineer

Job Description

Key KPIs include:

1. Timely completion of site and services work activities as per the shutdown plan given by Client.
2. Quality completion of site activities.
3. Avoidance of site accidents by proper implementation of the company’s HSE standards.
4. Good coordination with technical team and project manager.
5. Carry out Distribution substation maintenance activities including transformers, protection, switchgear, relays, and AC/DC.
6. Receive work permit.
7. Inspect project sites to monitor the progress of site activities and ensure conformity to specifications and safety standards.
8. Participate in maintenance work at the substations.
9. Commit to shutdown window and the time allowed to complete the work.
10. Supervise contracted staff and ensure conformity to Quality & Safety Standards.
11. Manage logistics to transfer the testing and maintenance equipment from the warehouse to the site and vice versa.
12. Respond to emergency calls to mobilize to site within given response time.
13. Prepare Project Progress Reports and time sheets and submit them to the project manager and construction manager.
14. Prepare descriptive technical reports on any occurring problems and provide technical advice to solve the encountered problems.
15. Follow up work progress with project teams, up to handing over to the end user.
16. Coordinate site activities with the end user representatives and project management team.
17. Ensure that procedures are followed and to determine if specified steps were taken.
18. Ensure the implementation of the company’s HSE standards.
19. Produce reports, proposals, technical documentation, and user guides as required and ensure other team members' knowledge is up to date.
20. Conduct awareness sessions for the team and GS employees when needed.

Education

• Bachelor of Engineering with a specialization in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

• 5 to 8 years of experience in S/S maintenance projects.
• Preferably experience in HSE Management System.
• Solid knowledge in S/S maintenance projects.
