Overview:

Candidate participates and supports the deployment of quality for different sections in the factory, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing control plans and processes to ensure products will meet the specified requirements and customer expectations.
• Performing and overseeing the testing and inspection of products and processes in all stages of manufacturing, product testing, equipment calibration, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Supporting quality control requirements and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing, and validation.
• Continuously identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to quality management in the organization.
• Measuring and analyzing manufacturing process KPIs (on-time delivery, inspections, defects analysis, and first pass yield) and taking the corresponding improvement initiatives.
• Facilitating resolution of customer cases by following a robust root cause analysis and implementing preventive and corrective actions.
• Ensuring proper documentation and standardization of procedures related to all inspection and quality activities with respect to ISO/organization standards.
• Leading problem-solving regarding internal and external customer concerns utilizing tools including 8D, Kaizen, Six Sigma, all driving to understanding Root Cause - implementing corrective and preventative actions and driving continuous improvement.
• Informing the quality team of preferred occupational health and safety practices.
• Implementing relevant emergency response procedures during emergency situations.
• Regularly checking the testing and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflow.

Necessary Knowledge and Experience

• You have previous experience in the electrical distribution industry with 6+ years of experience within Manufacturing Quality, Manufacturing Engineering in the Switchgear Industry.
• Experience with handling customer complaints and participating with the company in vendor evaluation.
• Experience with Six Sigma tools, tool utilization (i.e. 5 Whys, Fishbone), Control Plans, Process Auditing, Process Capability analysis, ISO, and Poka Yoke design.

Education and Certification Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Quality or Relevant Degree.
