Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Sr. QA/QC with a strong background in ASME codes and WPS/PQR qualification. The candidate must have extensive experience in the fabrication of heat exchangers and pressure vessels and be well-versed in quality control, inspection, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities in the fabrication of heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
Ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII, ASME Section IX, and other applicable codes and standards.
Develop Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ).
Conduct material inspection, welding inspection, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), and final product verification.
Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry and client requirements.
Coordinate with third-party inspectors, certification bodies, and customers for audits and quality inspections.
Train and mentor quality personnel to enhance technical skills and knowledge of ASME codes.
Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, reports, and records.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure quality standards are met at every stage.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in QA/QC within the fabrication of heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, ASME Section IX, API, TEMA, and other relevant codes.
Proven experience in WPS/PQR qualification and welding inspection.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
