Senior Project Manager (DB)

The Senior Project Manager in the Delivery Department for theme park is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of large-scale theme park projects from concept (late stage) to completion. This role requires coordination across multiple departments, including design, engineering, procurement, and construction, ensuring the delivery of high-quality themed entertainment spaces that meet stakeholder expectations. The SPM Interiors is the primary point of contact for all delivery-related activities, managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams to ensure the park opens on time and within scope expectation and quality markers across all interiors supported by the respective SPM Lands respectively.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Lead the delivery of theme park construction projects, ensuring they meet all technical, operational, and safety standards over all interiors with a focus on overall coordination by interior as a discipline (rather than by land).
2. Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, aligning deliverables with key milestones per all interiors.
3. Oversee multiple construction teams, managing subcontractors, engineers, architects, and other relevant professionals.
4. Ensure that all project phases are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
5. Work with procurement teams to optimize resources, negotiate contracts, and manage suppliers.
6. Report on financial progress and forecast upcoming expenses, ensuring stakeholders are informed of potential risks or cost overruns.
7. Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders, including clients and government bodies.
8. Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project delivery, including construction delays, material shortages, and regulatory challenges.
9. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and legal standards, including permits and inspections.
10. Develop contingency plans to address potential project disruptions.
11. Oversee and guide project managers, site supervisors, and other team members, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
12. Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence within the project delivery teams.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 15 years of experience in area development or technical project management in the theme park or entertainment sector.
3. Proven experience in large-scale landscape design and area planning projects.
4. Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
5. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D modeling tools.
6. Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
7. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience collaborating with diverse teams.
8. A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and resolve technical challenges.
9. Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices is a plus.
