Senior Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

1. Lead project meetings to collect and disseminate information pertaining to projects.
2. Conduct technical specification reviews and resolution.
3. Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between/within the company and customer.
4. Schedule and monitor program activity to achieve an “on-time” result including follow-up with external suppliers to ensure timely response to action items.
5. Review materials procurement issued by technical engineer.
6. Finalize Long Lead Items materials/services with vendors within the budget and acceptable payment terms.
7. Create bill of material, detailed instructions for manufacturing process of new part, specification for packaging, external supplier specification to provide standard cost structure and instructions for manufacturing.
8. From customer drawings, determine the possibility of failure in our manufacturing process. Analyze process to learn likelihood of detection and resulting effect on customer product. Suggest preventative steps for correction.
9. Evaluate project performance of functional areas.
10. Perform work which involves conventional methods and types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment with relatively few complex features.
11. Select and recommend procedures or development of methods.
12. Direct and supervise other engineering activities.
13. Prepare plans and specifications for projects, engineered systems, technical equipment or components.
14. Supervise technical testing, survey or field engineering teams.
15. Assist in the preparation of probable execution cost estimates.
16. Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs for project.
17. Instruct technicians to reduce designs to working drawings.
18. Responsible for control of work-in-progress, ensures accurate client billing, monitors outstanding accounts receivable and coordinates with C&C for collection.
19. Follow-up of jobs through various meetings like weekly progress, job review, job closing, invoicing follow-up, receivables follow-up, Commercial Revenue etc.
20. Define and maintain risk register and monitor and suggest corrective actions to reduce Risk level without high cost.
21. Prepare and document learning lessons during project closing phase and submit to management for approval and to be circulated.

Customer Satisfaction

1. Manage and coordinate client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
2. Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
3. Plan all actions & follow-up of Quality of Execution, Contract Deliveries, Customer Inspections, Target Deliveries, Invoicing Commitments & manage all actions towards the effective conduct of the Weekly Progress Meeting and Project Deliverables.
4. Timely response to customer.

Revenue & Margin

1. Monitor program cost activity to achieve an “in budget” result.
2. Prepare and manage collection of Risk assessment(s) for assigned projects and implement the required measures to reduce and/or eliminate.
3. Responsible for collecting/managing dues, BG’s, LC’s in coordination with Sales & Finance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 3-5 years in related field.
• Ability to read prints/specs and technical writing. Excellent knowledge of water sector (National Water Company, water management system, SCADA/instrumentation products and respective applications).
• Excellent knowledge of Automation/Instruments/electro-mechanical works and respective applications.
