You will manage Cost Consultants to identify and execute opportunities that improve cost management procedures, templates and products to enhance services provided to stakeholders.

Job Summary: Manages and/or leads the implementation and delivery of a range of PMO and Project Controls to support commissions. Leads and guides team members within the PMO and Planning Centre of Excellence and assigned Hub as required.

You'll be responsible for:

  1. Managing PMO and Project Controls performance on their assigned commissions.
  2. Creating and designing effective implementation of PMO and Project Controls framework/strategy on assigned commissions.
  3. Managing and directing Clients, consultants, contractors, project team on assigned commissions on all PMO and Project Controls matters.
  4. Partnering with clients to meet expectations and build strong professional relationships.
  5. Providing expert advice to the Project team in the administration of the PMO and Project Controls process, focusing on cost, schedule, change, risk, and reporting, to achieve key objectives and the escalation of performance and management issues.
  6. Facilitating and driving periodic reporting and structured governance and performance meetings.
  7. Accountable for developing and managing Baseline (scope, time, cost, risk, assumptions) and subsequent delivery performance, change and contingency monitoring.
  8. Contributing to the development of Quantitative Analysis (cost and time).
  9. Working alongside the PMO Director and/or Project Manager to recognise actions, opportunities and mitigate risks and issues.
  10. Coordinating activities/operations to ensure they are carried out in line with Mace Control Centre, Client requirements and prevailing legislation.
  11. Responsible for line management of a team of PMO and Project Controls team members to deliver on assigned commissions.
  12. Providing comprehensive technical expertise to mentor and assist the personal and career development of team members of the PMO and Project Controls team.
  13. Managing the integration of Project Controls with PMO and Planning disciplines.
  14. Supporting the HUB PMO and Project Controls Director with resourcing and recruitment for the assigned commission.
  15. Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and sharing responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You'll need to have:

  • Relevant university degree (e.g. construction, engineering) or equivalent.
  • Experience or equivalent supporting the delivery of a range of PMO and Project Controls services within the construction sector and/or management consultancy.
