JOB PURPOSE:
Lead the entertainment & gaming vertical within Riyadh Air; developing a world class connected experience for guests that blurs the line between entertainment, games, monetization and connectivity-enabled products across the guest journey within the Guest Experience department. Ensures the daily delivery of initiative-level requirements, leads the big bets, and drives go-to-market adoption to reinforce the brand positioning and corporate vision.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Define, shape and scale Riyadh Air's entertainment & gaming product portfolio leading product framing, definition, shaping and development to ensure the end-to-end guest / staff digital products and experiences deliver against the digital experience NorthStar.
Drive the development of all related product strategies, working cross-functionally with other teams to develop on-going enhancements of connected experience initiatives, epics, features and user stories.
Manage the in-flight entertainment product (e.g. seatback features, apps, personal electronic device integration) in collaboration with the in-flight experience team which is responsible for the selection of movies, tv shows, and other content.
Research industry wide best practices and products by conducting competitor analysis (benchmarking) of leading travel, entertainment, mobility and gaming companies, their product offerings and co-manage the collection of research operations data.
Continuously monitor the quality, performance and functionality IFEC technologies of competitors and vendor products, with industry expectations and guest expectations such as Skytrax, AirSats, CSAT, etc.
Develop and translate solution intent, from multiple stakeholders, into a product vision/roadmap with supporting monetization models containing well-defined, prioritized features that will realize the solution and business / guest value.
Lead the development and evolution of complex initiatives, leveraging audience cohorts to storyboard, create flows, and design specs that show how digital products enhance and evolve within the context of the overall Riyadh Air ecosystem.
Lead by influence across a diverse team of engineers, data scientists, finance, legal, and executives facilitating workshops where appropriate to surface business drivers of value.
Responsible for all product documentation and recommendations for Executive management approval.
Drive go-to-market planning and adoption collaboratively with Commercial, Loyalty, Marketing, Digital and Ops; driving ideation, conceptual development and delivery.
Responsible for on-going communication with internal staff and 3rd party partners for all related digital product matters.
Co-manage RFI/RFPs, budget and scope for digital value stream projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation, including management buy-in and budgetary targets.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
8-10 years minimum experience in a direct to consumer agile organization such as entertainment, gaming, SaaS, etc with 7 years+ management / product lead role.
Experience in unlocking significant product-led growth in D2C or product ecosystem space using Design Sprints, Design Thinking and Lean is preferred.
Desirable experience building 0-1 and 1-10 products used by 100k+ daily active users (DAU).
In depth product experience creating product ecosystems experiences for audiences of 1M+.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree (master’s or advanced degree preferred) in business, design (e.g., interaction, service, product, industrial, game design, etc), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Behavioral Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
SKILLS:
Strong background in entertainment, gaming, gamified leisure, UGC platforms preferred.
A unique combination of product excellence, commercial thinking, technical acumen, effective communication, collaboration skills, and attention to detail.
Mastery in leading change and inspiring others to change behaviors.
Ability to define financials, ROI, KPIs, digital business models and forecasts, with success leveraging data to prioritize decisions about product feature increments.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Understanding of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
Desirable experience with game engines, mobile gaming, spatial computing and AR/XR.
Desirable experience shipping AAA, UGC or mobile titles direct to consumer platforms.
