Senior Procurement Engineer - Freyssinet Saudi Arabia

Freyssinet Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to join our team in Jeddah. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and optimising our procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic procurement plans and policies to maximise cost savings and efficiency
• Manage the procurement lifecycle from supplier identification and evaluation to contract negotiation and administration
• Negotiate and finalise contracts with suppliers, ensuring favourable terms and conditions
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, fostering collaboration and innovation
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in procurement
• Train and mentor junior procurement staff
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Engineering, Finance, and Operations, to ensure alignment and streamline processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of (Engineering) or Master's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior procurement role within a construction or engineering industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles and industry best practices
• Proficiency in procurement software and systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
