AtkinsRéalis is looking for an experienced, highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter for the position of Senior Wet Utilities Engineer for our Middle East operations. This person will be carrying out a mix of functions that span from internal process improvements to supporting project delivery. The candidate will be involved in the creation of designs for various projects related to wet utilities and will work within a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers providing a professional design service to our clients/Lead Project Offices (LPOs). The candidate will also actively support project teams on proposal and project delivery tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings related to wet utilities.
- Performs pump system engineering calculations.
- Performs hydraulic modelling analysis for pressure and gravity networks.
- Contributes to technical report writing and data/analysis summary tables and exhibits.
- Develops the design report/specifications for a variety of projects.
- Performs work with minimum supervision.
- Participates in multi-discipline coordination with LPOs and clients.
- Works in various CDEs - ProjectWise, BIM 360, MS Teams, SharePoint sites, etc.
- Performs utility clash analysis and clash resolution exercises.
- Conducts quality control checks of design calculations or drawings.
- Presents design solutions in meetings with clients/LPOs as required.
- Applies AtkinsRéalis Quality, Safety & Environmental (QSE) standards and Business Management System (BMS).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree/Master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from a reputed institute.
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the Water & Wastewater Industry.
- Proven experience in wet utilities design - stormwater, wastewater, potable water, and TSE for the UK, Middle East, and other regions.
- Proficient in various software like Microdrainage, CivilStorm, Sewergems/Watergems, etc.
- Working knowledge of BIM platforms like Civil3D, Microstation, and/or Open Roads/Inroads/MX Road, Revit, Navisworks, etc.
- Experience with international standards and Middle East standards.
- Experience in leading and delivering major infrastructure projects at master plan, concept, and detailed design stages.
- Engineering consultancy experience is preferred.
