Senior Planning Manager

JASARA PMC is seeking a Senior Planning Manager to join our highly skilled team dedicated to delivering quality services in program and project management. In this role, you will lead the planning and scheduling activities across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and adherence to timelines and budgets. Your expertise will be instrumental in the development of comprehensive project schedules, managing performance metrics, and facilitating effective communication among stakeholders.

As a Senior Planning Manager, you will coordinate efforts with project teams to identify critical paths, monitor progress, and implement risk mitigation strategies. You will be responsible for preparing regular reports and updates for senior management, while also providing leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain project schedules while monitoring and analyzing project performance
2. Manage risk and opportunity identification and assessments
3. Facilitate regular progress meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders
4. Provide critical path analysis and manage change management processes
5. Ensure compliance with JASARA's project controls processes and methodologies
6. Mentor junior planners and contribute to the team's professional development

1. Minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling within the construction or engineering industries
2. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
3. Proficiency in using planning software, particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
4. Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
7. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive project success in complex environments
8. Familiarity with project management methodologies and practices is preferred
9. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, or similar) are highly regarded
10. Experience working in the Middle East or similar projects is an advantage
