In collaboration with the network manager and the Director Technology Operations and other key stakeholders, define the Network roadmap and drive all aspects of the Network and communications Strategy, ensuring that technology-based solutions and services are fully supported by the right architectures, systems and operating models.
Accountable for Americana Restaurants Network Services, Projects, Operations, Security.
Partner with the Heads of End user services and head of Infrastructure to deliver the innovation, development and deployment of new Network and Unified Communication technology solutions providing strong planning and implementation skills in their delivery.
Partner with the business to understand evolving work trends in design and engineering of the technologies which need to be supported by the underlying network infrastructure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
- Conduct monthly service reviews/reports with/to relevant service managers and Senior Leadership team represents, communicating on project health status, operational performance, milestones, issues and budget.
- Work closely with Information Security, to ensure that Americana restaurant networks are maintained in a highly secure state, and that operating procedures and methods are best suited to maintain security of the company networks.
- Act as the subject matter expert on Network technology and services matters, challenging and coaching team members, thriving to exceed Service Level Objectives and delivering outstanding value to the business.
- Participate in the operational management of Americana restaurant networks and take accountability for the service regionally.
- Ensure all network service outages are restored in a timely manner and abide by the fix once principles.
- Contribute to Network Services team annual strategic roadmap objectives.
- Ensure full effective monitoring and reporting for all Americana networks or network services.
- Work with the End user support team to ensure that Americana restaurant network systems fully support the needs of the company in telephony and other communications media.
- Maintain the security baseline of all network devices and services as well as their preventive maintenance.
- Assume technical lead role during outage management; monitor functions and coordinate inter-team corrective actions; assist team members with problem resolution and communicate with stakeholders.
- Drive continual service improvement initiatives aimed at improving service quality, IT and business outcomes.
Education:
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science
Relevant Technical industry recognized certifications (CCNA/CCNP, ITL) or other network vendors Certifications
Experience:
Progressive experience in Information Technology management with focus on network disciplines, and voice/video services will have been gained over an extensive period.
Managing networks in multiple different geographical locations.
Demonstrable and practical experience as Network Services lead
Long experience of investigating and managing network related incidents
Highly available architectures, with resilient network design experience
Wireless technology for the enterprise with highly secure technologies
Strong experience of automation and monitoring (SolarWinds, ManageEngine)
Core network infrastructure for both on-premises, cloud, and DR providers.
Intense routing, firewall, VPN access technology experience
Technical team leadership and guidance
Working in multi-cultural multi country environment
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of WAN Optimization (BGP, MPLS, VPN)
- Knowledge of VOIP
- Strong knowledge of cyber-security and Network Security.
- In depth knowledge of architectures, monitoring, security control, redundancy, and high availability for network, voice and wireless system
- Solid understanding of AWS and Azure virtual networking
- Network performance management and capacity planning
- Firewall and cloud firewall architecture knowledge (Fortinet, Checkpoint and Zscaler)
- L2/L3 Switching
