Job description

The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for designing,
implementing, maintaining, and supporting the BMC's network infrastructure. The
role requires expertise in networking technologies, security best practices,
troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure a robust and scalable
IT environment. The individual will work closely with IT teams and stakeholders
to support business objectives and enhance overall network reliability and
security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure,
    and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN,
    and wireless networks.
  • Monitor network
    performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure optimal operation
    and minimal downtime.
  • Implement and
    manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion
    detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
  • Oversee the
    administration of routers, switches, load balancers, and other network
    devices.
  • Collaborate
    with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security policies and
    best practices.
  • Plan and
    execute network upgrades, patches, and migrations.
  • Develop and
    maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and
    procedures.
  • Conduct
    capacity planning and recommend improvements to optimize network
    efficiency and scalability.
  • Provide support
    for VoIP, video conferencing, and unified communication solutions.
  • Lead and mentor
    junior network administrators and IT support staff.
  • Coordinate with
    third-party vendors and service providers for network-related services and
    troubleshooting.
  • Ensure
    compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in
    disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network
    infrastructure.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master's or bachelor's
    degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional
    certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent are highly
    desirable.
  • Minimum of 8-15
    years of experience in network administration and infrastructure
    management.
  • In-depth
    knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs,
    SD-WAN, etc.).
  • Hands-on
    experience with network security tools, firewalls (Fortinet, Sophos, Palo
    Alto, etc.), and VPN technologies.
  • Hands-on
    experience with network devices and systems from HPE Aruba (Switches, Wireless
    controller, ClearPass, Airwave)
  • Proficiency in
    configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, HPE Aruba, or other enterprise
    networking equipment.
  • Familiarity
    with cloud networking (Azure) is a plus.
  • Experience with
    monitoring tools like SolarWinds, and OpManager.
  • Strong
    problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent
    communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work
    independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
