Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (PHFP) / Buildings to join our esteemed organisation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of mechanical systems for building projects, focusing on plumbing, heating, and fire protection (PHFP) systems.

  1. Design and oversee the implementation of mechanical systems for commercial and residential buildings
  2. Develop detailed plans and specifications for PHFP systems, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers
  4. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions
  5. Conduct site visits to assess existing systems and propose improvements or retrofits
  6. Perform energy analysis and recommend energy-efficient solutions for building systems
  7. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team
  8. Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success
  9. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in building services engineering
Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's degree preferred
  2. Professional Engineering (PE) certification or equivalent
  3. Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in building systems
  4. Proven track record in designing and implementing PHFP systems for large-scale building projects
  5. Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and building services engineering
  6. Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit
  7. Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
  8. Experience with energy-efficient design and sustainable building practices
  9. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  10. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  11. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  12. Familiarity with Saudi building codes and regulations
  13. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
