Senior Mechanical Engineer

Black & Grey HR is hiring for a dynamic construction company in KSA. Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of mechanical systems in the client's construction projects. This role involves ensuring that all mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, meet design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The Senior Mechanical Engineer provides technical expertise, oversees project execution, and ensures seamless collaboration with other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Developing detailed mechanical designs and specifications for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
2. Reviewing and approving mechanical drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.
3. Ensuring designs comply with project requirements, industry standards, and local regulations.
4. Collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers to integrate mechanical systems into overall designs.
5. Providing technical guidance to project teams and contractors during installation and commissioning phases.
6. Monitoring project progress while addressing any design or execution challenges.
7. Conducting inspections of mechanical installations to ensure adherence to approved designs and quality standards.
8. Identifying and resolving non-conformances and recommending corrective actions.
9. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all mechanical works.
10. Assisting in preparing project budgets and cost estimates for mechanical systems.
11. Optimizing resource allocation to ensure cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
12. Coordinating with procurement teams to source mechanical materials and equipment.
13. Overseeing testing and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
14. Addressing any issues identified during commissioning and ensuring timely resolution.
15. Preparing detailed commissioning reports and as-built documentation.
16. Maintaining accurate records of mechanical designs, inspections, and modifications.
17. Preparing and submitting progress reports highlighting challenges, solutions, and milestones to the Projects Manager.
18. Contributing to the preparation of technical manuals and maintenance guidelines for mechanical systems.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; A master’s degree is an advantage.
2. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on construction projects.
3. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certifications are preferred.
4. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
5. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and installation techniques.
6. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
7. Leadership and mentoring skills to guide project teams and junior engineers.
8. Attention to detail and accuracy in mechanical designs and documentation.
9. Problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges effectively.
10. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
11. Time-management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
