Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Position: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Static Equipment)

Location: Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Experience: 7+ years of experience in the design and engineering of static equipment in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or power generation industries.

Duty Hrs: 10 Hrs

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Static Equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design, analysis, and engineering of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and reactors. This role requires a deep understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations, as well as the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the design and engineering of static equipment in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or power generation industries.
• Proficiency in design software such as PV Elite, COMPRESS, CAESAR II, and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME Section VIII, API 650, TEMA, etc.).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Engineering: Perform detailed design and engineering calculations for static equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and reactors. Develop technical specifications, datasheets, and drawings in compliance with relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, EN, etc.). Conduct stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and other simulations to ensure equipment integrity and safety.
• Project Management: Lead and manage design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in codes and standards.
