Job description

Direct or coordinate production, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, or financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service, or safety. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute planning activities within a defined framework/system with dependencies on other processes/units alternative suppliers for a medium-risk area with some alternatives and moderate costs to switch. Consult with relevant functions to provide reliable market information for decision-making.
  • Deliver required outcomes by managing day-to-day relationships with contract service providers while working within an established contract management plan.
  • Track budgets and report variances to more senior colleagues.
  • Supervise others working within established operational systems.
  • Monitor, review, and highlight any gaps in the performance of a portfolio of smaller suppliers to recommend and ensure delivery of improvements by suppliers or to renegotiate or change contract/supplier.
  • Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance; or monitor the performance of the team, allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality, and contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.
  • Assist with stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings, events, and supporting materials to promote.
  • Review existing operations in own area of work and implement innovation processes to generate new ideas and ensure continuous improvements are delivered.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Logistic Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Logistic Manager or similar Logistic role in the food industry, preferably with food commodities trading.
  • Strong understanding of the KSA market.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
