JOB OBJECTIVE

Overview:

Thales DIS - Gemalto, a world leader in Digital Security, has a strong presence in the Middle East providing hardware, software, and consulting services to the government sector. The role includes supporting KSA ongoing projects of e-ID and e-Passport but also Oman program, Qatar DigID, and other projects in the region. It is a transversal role with a strong requirement for travel when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze requirements, build architecture, and design enterprise solutions with strong experience in design patterns and architectures.
2. Backend/Frontend development using Java as a programming language utilizing state-of-the-art frameworks and some legacy components of Java EE technologies (JSP, Servlets, EJB, Web services).
3. Experience in database skills (SQL, JDBC) using any RDBS.
4. Experience in any of the application servers like Websphere/JBoss and web servers like Tomcat/Apache.
5. IT capabilities & knowledge (Windows platform/Unix platforms).
6. Willingness to travel to other countries as per project needs.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strong analytical and architectural skills.
2. Accountable for the design and quality development of solutions.
3. Clear documentation and adherence to security guidelines.
4. Troubleshooting and skills to optimize the architecture, code, data structure, bandwidth, memory, and CPU use of the server.
5. Professional customer interfacing, working onsite when needed, and taking extra miles to secure project milestones.
6. Proactive communication with peers and project stakeholders.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. Engineering degree in Computer Science.
2. Arabic speaker with fluent English skills.
3. At least 7 years of professional experience in software development.
4. Proven experience in complex software projects.

PREFERRED SKILLS

1. Knowledge in Cloud, Micro-services, C# programming language.
2. Familiarity with smart card technology and cryptography concepts.
3. Experience in planning and scheduling tools, like MS Project.
4. Experience using any version control system and issue tracking.
