Senior iOS Engineer

We are seeking a passionate and skilled iOS Developer to join our ambitious startup team. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in iOS application development, a solid understanding of mobile development best practices, and a genuine eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies. You will get to work with the newest technologies such as SwiftUI in a very modern code base.

Key Responsibilities:

1. iOS App Development:
2. Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and reliable iOS applications.
3. Collaborate with backend and design teams to define, design, and ship new features.
4. Code Review and Optimization:
5. Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality and performance of the codebase.
6. Identify and implement optimizations to enhance the efficiency of existing code.
7. Technical Problem Solving:
8. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in existing code.
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS development trends, tools, and technologies.
10. Collaborate with team members from various disciplines to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications:

1. Education:
2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
3. Experience:
4. 5 years experience developing and deploying iOS applications.
5. Strong knowledge of Swift.
6. Native development is your passion.
7. MapLibre & combine experience is a plus.
8. Skills:
9. Up to date with modern iOS frameworks such as SwiftUI and async/await.
10. You work with RESTful APIs every day and have experience with authentication frameworks such as OAuth2 to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
11. Solid understanding of iOS design principles and Human Interface Guidelines.
12. Writing unit and UI Tests using XCTest.
13. You’ve worked in depth with a map SDK before, be it MapLibre, Apple Maps, Google Maps, ESRI or similar.
