Responsibilities:

1. Coordinating staff schedules to align with business unit service delivery objectives. Training, motivating, managing, appraisals and developing non-supervisory employees.
2. Understanding computerized data entry systems and using these systems to track activities.
3. Applying technical knowledge/experience to ensure that incoming incidents, problems, change requests and other events relating to technical infrastructure and services that require immediate/emergency response are attended to in a timely manner.
4. Making timely and appropriate decisions on which infrastructure product/service changes, repairs or replacements to approve in response to problems, incidents, change requests and/or other events.
5. Ensuring that all changes and repairs to technical infrastructure and services refreshes have appropriate change control mechanisms applied.
6. Ensuring that maintenance of technical infrastructure and services is undertaken regularly.
7. Monitoring, in a timely and accurate manner, the quality and effectiveness of technical support activities and their deliverables, providing metrics and management information for review by internal and external sponsors, stakeholders individuals and other bodies, as appropriate.
8. Analyzing and evaluating incident/problem reports and making recommendations to reduce the service desk call rate.
9. Responsible for all aspects of Infrastructure service delivery to include SLA compliance, customer satisfaction, people management, and operations centre financials.
10. Providing timely and appropriate advice and guidance to others on all aspects of technical support activities and their deliverables.

Outputs:

1. Management and direction of 3rd line support.
2. Problem reports including proactive problem management.
3. Technical reviews of change requests.
4. Technical review and recommendations on capacity reports.
5. Input into technical risk and issue registers.
6. Architectural documentation reviews (project designs etc).
7. Personal and team training recommendations.
8. Regular staff appraisals.

Other Tasks:

1. Working overtime and out of hours in support of resolution of high priority incidents, or project work.
2. Managing other delivery towers for short periods of time (such as the service desk or EUC tower during the leads vacation).
3. Attending management reviews as requested.

Job Requirements:

1. A minimum of 7 years’ experience in network design, deployment and operations.
2. Fluent in Arabic and English.
3. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a similar field as a minimum.
4. CCNP Certified.
