About the Role
As Senior Director Attractions Operations, you will lead the pre-opening, operational strategy, and daily management of a world-first theme park. From overseeing ride safety and guest experience to building a high-performing team, you will ensure that all operations run seamlessly and exceed global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a best-in-class operational strategy, aligning with park stakeholders and international standards.
- Pre-Opening Readiness: Manage all pre-opening activities, including ride testing, safety inspections, vendor coordination, staff training, and compliance.
- World-Class Attractions Operations: Oversee daily ride operations, safety protocols, guest experience, evacuation procedures, and crisis management.
- Team Building & Leadership: Recruit, train, and inspire a high-performance, multicultural team that thrives in an innovative environment.
- Guest Experience Excellence: Work with creative and marketing teams to craft unforgettable guest experiences and maintain the park's brand identity.
- Financial Oversight: Lead budgeting, financial planning, and cost control to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to local regulations, international safety standards (ISO, ASTM, EN), and IP licensing requirements.
- Stakeholder & Partner Management: Build and maintain relationships with vendors, government authorities, IP licensors, and investors.
- Crisis & Risk Management: Develop robust strategies for safety, risk mitigation, and emergency response.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Leadership:
- At least 10 years in international theme park operations, with proven success in leading large, diverse teams (100+ employees).
- Expertise in pre-opening planning, operational strategy, safety, and guest services.
- Strong background in financial management, KPI-driven performance, and compliance.
Skills & Capabilities:
- Visionary leadership with the ability to motivate and manage multicultural teams.
- Strong decision-making, crisis management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Tech-savvy with experience using Microsoft Office, digital checklists, asset management software, and operational systems.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Engineering, Tourism, or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA or Strategic Management) preferred.
- IAAPA Certified Attractions Executive (preferred).
