As part of the Jazan development for Saudi Entertainment Ventures, the Jazan Entertainment Complex is situated on a plot 113,000 sqm with an exciting offering of entertainment attractions, event venues, F+B and feature attractions. The SDM main role is to become an essential part of the design management team providing support to the Design Director. The candidate will ensure design quality, project coordination, and interface management are executed to the highest standards, aligning with project goals and timelines.
Location: The candidate will be required to live and work full-time in Jazan.
Interface Coordination Accountabilities
Project Coordination
Assist in the coordination of information flow between internal departments and external project team consultants.
Interface / Design Coordination
Assist in the design coordination progress.
Monitor the quality and timeliness of design document production and project outputs, ensuring they are delivered to required standards and within agreed schedules.
Conduct daily on-site monitoring of architectural activities to ensure quality meets established standards and project specifications.
Administrative Support
Provide administrative support to the design management team.
Functional Accountabilities
Project Coordination
Ensure that incoming and outgoing documents and communications are logged, filed, and available for the project team.
Coordinate with the document control team.
Assist in the administration of the design review process, including compiling comments, tracking review status, etc.
Interface / Design Coordination
Contribute to design coordination by providing administrative support.
Assist in the overall design coordination progress, proactively identifying and resolving potential conflicts or issues.
Opportunity to assist with hands-on project technical coordination.
Administrative Support
Assist in the distribution of information.
Create and update project tracking logs.
Take responsibility for the preparation of reports, presentations, etc.
Education, Experience & Abilities
Education
Bachelor’s degree in architecture (required).
Project management qualification is an advantage but not essential.
Experience & Abilities
12-15 years of experience within a consultant or client background, preferably with experience in both technical design and construction stages.
Ideal candidate should have a technical architect background, who has progressed their career into a design management support role and wishes to develop further.
Experience in large-scale complex projects is an advantage (e.g., large malls, airports, mixed-use developments).
Experience in attractions-related projects is an advantage.
A confident and articulate communicator with experience dealing with consultants, contractors, manufacturers, etc.
Highly organized with an eye for administrative detail – ensuring that the project team has up-to-date information along with accurate record-keeping.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
Adaptable and flexible attitude to project demands and priorities.
A team player who enjoys being organized and disciplined when undertaking project tasks, with strong leadership skills.
Knowledge of working with the Aconex information system.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of Revit/Autodesk Cloud is an advantage.
