Your new role, what's involved?
- Oversee a team of design managers, BIM managers, architects, engineers, landscape architects, and technical specialists to provide overall professional support on the project and resolve technical issues in areas of specialisation.
- In coordination with the Client, develop COP/BOD documentation.
- Support the technical director on overall technical management to ensure that the project design requirements are being adhered to and understood by all functions.
- Conduct regular meetings and workshops to gauge project progress and resolve issues.
- Manage and record project progress through the generation and distribution of project documentation such as minutes of meeting, recommendation reports, design reports and others as needed.
- Oversee the sustainability engagement on the project in line with LEED/SITES requirements.
- Support in resolving all technical issues raised by the Design Consultants such as RFIs and design queries.
- Manage the processing of all design submissions by the Contractor such as shop drawings, design calculations and other technical deliverables.
- Coordinate with the Lead Design Consultant, Thematic Design Consultant, Attraction Design Consultant(s) and Aquatic Engineer to ensure the Design submissions are meeting the requirements to be released for construction use.
- Manage the budget and resource allocation of Design Guardian Sub-Consultants to ensure sufficient resource coverage up until project completion.
- Ensure the use of BIM across the project is optimized and the Contractor develops the BIM deliverables as per the LOD requirements.
- Manage the design related Request for Decisions (RFD) ensuring technical matters are resolved and communicated to the Client for approval where required.
- Ensure that NOC, authority approvals and building permits are attained prior to construction by coordinating closely with stakeholder management team.
- Conduct thorough technical reviews on design submissions where required in coordination with the master planner, LDC, TDC, ADC, AE and PMO and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the Design To Budget obligations of Consultants within the project through regular pulse checks in coordination with the Cost Management Consultant.
- Conduct value engineering workshops to optimize the design and ensure constructability.
- Develop Design Scope of Works and Project briefs in coordination with the procurement department for packages undergoing tendering.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural, Engineering or technical field.
- At least 10 years of experience in technical roles on mega-scale projects.
- ICE, RIBA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
- Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast-moving and challenging environment.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
