Senior Auditor

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Senior Internal Auditor will be based in our KSA Regional Headquarters and report to the Internal Audit Supervisor (In Dubai). The role will be responsible for performing audit engagements based on the annual audit plan. The Internal Audit group has also been a key source of senior finance talent within the company with former auditors holding key finance positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY & AUTHORITY:

1. Assignments include domestic and international projects, including operational reviews, SOX audits, and special investigations.
2. Supervise staff auditors on audit projects, ensuring all tests in the audit program are carried out and properly documented.
3. Conduct all phases of audit planning, fieldwork, and report drafting for audit projects.
4. Communicate with the auditee the findings during the test work and at the closing meeting, make recommendations to improve operations.
5. Draft audit reports, providing a clear description of the issues and ensuring they are fully supported by the test work.
6. Work with different stakeholders and external auditors (if required) as part of SOX audits.
7. Ability to travel up to 25% of the year (both domestic and international).
8. Other duties as necessary or assigned.

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & REQUIRED:

1. 3-4 years of relevant experience.
2. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Management.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills.
4. Good understanding of business processes and accounting standards.
5. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
7. Proficient with MS Office, including Word and Excel, and a basic understanding of data analytics.
8. Familiar with audit and analytical tools and software.
9. CPA, ACCA or CIA, or working towards certification (Desired).
10. Public accounting experience (Desired).
