The Senior Anesthesia Technician performs standard to moderately complex technical and supportive care tasks to assist the Anesthesiologists in providing all types of anesthesia care services which includes but is not limited to: determining anesthesia-related supplies are on hand; troubleshooting and ensuring anesthesia equipment is functioning well prior to an assigned procedure; assisting the Anesthesiologist with overseeing the levels of sedation as needed, which applies to adult, pediatric and neonatal procedures in order to ensure successful anesthesia-related activities are performed excellently at JHAH.
Operational Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide support in anesthesia for routine and complex surgical cases.
Prepare and maintain patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia.
Minimum Education Required:
Diploma in Anesthesia is required.
Professional Certifications Required: SCFHS certification as applicable; Cardiopulmonary Certification (i.e. BLS, PALS, ACLS, etc.) also required.
Years of Experience:
Minimum 6 years' experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
Languages:
English: Advanced; Arabic: Basic.
