Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage general accounting operations, including journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information and proper accounting treatment.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax filings and reporting VAT & WHT.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, and assist in cash management activities.
• Support senior management with financial analysis and special projects as required.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and provide guidance and mentorship.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA or SOCPA is a plus).
• 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Sporting experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and internation financial reporting standards IFRS.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
