Security Director

ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.

Objective:

To adapt and co-ordinate the implementation of ASMO Security polices and standards within the respective country and ensure fundamental security objectives of protection of people, physical & customer assets, sensitive internal information, and public reputation are achieved. Reduce risk exposure with the implementation of ASMO security standards by risk classification and audits across specific country. Responsible for management and people leadership on country level.

General Responsibilities:

• Develop/implement country security standards, policies, and Security Programs in line with regional standards.
• Manage/review/investigate security related incidents within area of responsibility and report metrics / trends and root causes to line.
• Ensure roll out in country of risk assessment, audit, and security training programmes.
• Ensure holistic view on security costs and costs transparent to business and maintain budgets and Profit and Loss statements.
• Ensure customer value through optimized security performance.
• Reduced losses and security incidents and security related claims.
• Security risk levels and gaps identified, and corrective action progress reported.
• Cost efficiency and resource optimization.
• Positive customer feedback and security seen as business differentiator.
• Manage customer complaints with regards to security incidents.
• Assist / advise local customers on security issues and measures.
• Provide security advice/assistance to country sales and business management.
• Provide monthly metrics to management on security incidents and situation.
• Develop relationship with law enforcement and legal and regulatory bodies.
• Develop relationship with site management and operations personnel to provide security support.
• Develop relationship with country management, in order to promote security as added value.
• Risk classification, assessment, and audit programme active for the country.
• Security incident reporting, investigation and trending initiated.
• Process in place for implantation of security standards with sub-contractors and any new projects.
• Assist on installation / procurement of any technical security equipment for upgrade of new builds.
• Raise security awareness and security training programmes implemented.
• Provide regional security management and local nominees with help and assistance.
• Ensure team understand security policies and procedures.
• Ensure team are aware of the strategy and direction and priorities of the department.
• Ensure of the continuous development of team members (if applicable).
• Support Region and/or Cluster Head of Security on specific and project requirements
• Development of country nominee roles.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Managment or equivalent.
• Certification as a result of courses from professional security bodies preferred.
• Relevant academic qualifications (BSc level) in Security, Criminology, Risk Management/Analysis, other, highly desired.
• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
• 13 years’ experience in security management.
• Preference with minimum 3 years within Supply Chain Logistics or Transportation Security.
• Preference of 2 years’ experience/knowledge in-country / region.
