The work location for this position is at Ras-Al-Khair, located about 100 KMS north of Jubail Industrial City. You will be required to commute Jubail - Ras-Al-Khair - Jubail daily using the available transportation facility/shuttle bus service. Accommodation will be provided at Jubail Industrial City, and free breakfast and lunch are currently provided for Ras-Al-Khair assignees during workdays.
In this role, you will perform cost estimating, analysis, control activities, schedule development, maintenance, reporting, monitoring activities, and oversee the upkeep of the detailed project risk register. You will assist in preparing cost/schedule data for proposals and present at stakeholder meetings. Your work ensures projects stay on track, on budget, and ahead of the competition.
Major Responsibilities:
- Supervises schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery plan development activities for small to medium size projects.
- Supervises the development and integration of individual schedules into the total project plan.
- Establishes milestones for the total project and supervises schedule resource loading and leveling.
- Supervises planning development for the different levels of the schedule hierarchy: contract, and detailed activity planning within a project, and coordination of the contract with the program.
- Establishes milestones for the total project or major portions of the project. Reviews project work activities to ensure support of project milestones. Coordinates the timely, systematic, and complete acquisition of scope definition and related data.
- Evaluates claims for additional time due to schedule impacts and provides recommendations on justified time entitlement.
- Monitors progress throughout the implementation process and compares actual against planned work.
- Plans, organizes, and supervises schedule resource loading and leveling. Coordinates development of all bulk commodity release and installation curves. Integrates appropriate manpower requirements for each discipline/specialty relative to the overall project needs. Determines quantity and manpower levels in support of the project needs and schedule philosophy.
- Compares actual earned progress to forecast earned progress and provides analysis to support the Assistant Resident Engineer’s and Resident Engineer’s.
- Analyzes and evaluates schedule risks. Updates and monitors project progress and, if delayed, advises mitigation actions to meet the schedule.
- Skilled in development of various types of reports/KPI’s/Dash Boards to reflect the status of projects with visual aids such as bar charts, graphs, and dashboards.
- Interfaces with Client, project team, and sub-contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Skilled in development of detailed procurement schedules.
- Performs resource planning and analysis. Forecasts the demands of various types of resources including labor, materials, and equipment over the course of the project.
- Skilled in establishing baseline programs, recovery programs, and monitoring adherence and providing critical analysis.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in the Engineering and Construction Industry.
- Experienced in analysis & control, baseline development, planning & scheduling, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery plan development.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Candidate should possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with an ability to work closely with peers, external customers, and client counterparts.
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to planning & scheduling problems. Skilled in developing recovery plans with teams. Adept in the preparation and presentation of critical issues affecting progress and schedule.
- Working knowledge of Primavera and advanced knowledge of Excel to plan, organize, review, develop, and present complex EPC schedules. Proficient in CPM scheduling, resource loading, and leveling. Proficient in utilizing Excel to produce well-designed graphs, charts, and reports to communicate with key stakeholders.
- Skilled in presenting issues during construction meetings and able to clearly communicate the most critical issues and recommendations during meetings.
- Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications. Proficiency with multiple discipline software applications used including P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Prior experience working as client representation or in PM/CM role preferred.
