Consult with patients to ascertain their dental concerns or problems.
Carry out investigation and assessments of the patient's oral health, including visual exams, x-rays, etc.
Make a diagnosis of problems affecting patients’ teeth, gums, or jaw bone structures.
Perform required procedures to help alleviate pain or fix broken or decaying teeth.
Perform general dental procedures such as fillings, root canals, x-rays, scale and polish, fluoride coating, obtain molds of teeth, consult for dental implants or false teeth, and tooth extraction.
Educate patients on proper tooth and gum health and how to maintain healthy teeth.
Keep up-to-date dental records for all patients.
Prescribe painkillers or antibiotics when needed.
Maintain a clean, hygienic working office and clinic.
Use all medical and dental equipment as needed.
Make referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists when needed.
Work in line with patient confidentiality guidelines at all times.
