Job Description:

1. Control and direct satellite activities from the ground.
2. Collect data from orbiting satellites.
3. Work within ground stations to monitor satellites.
4. Ability to perform the CMR and PMR.
5. Ability to understand the differences between satellite equipment.
6. Ability to control the equipment physically and through NMS.
7. Conduct testing of communication equipment and systems.
8. Track and record satellite trends.
9. Write status reports.
10. Analyze communications systems, subsystems, and algorithms for satellite communications networks.
11. Control & command on satellite equipment.
12. Analyze and provide information on space segment lease cost, bandwidth requirements, and frequency management.
13. Maintain standards for satellite database access control and auditing.
14. Develop strategies to effectively leverage and integrate new technologies into existing network infrastructure.
15. Able to configure local area networks, point-to-point systems, secure systems, signal coding and modulation schema, digital radio/communications technology and network architecture design.
16. Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
17. Excellent organizational skills with attention-to-detail.
18. Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
19. Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
20. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
21. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
