Job description

Job Purpose

  • Develop Business and make sales strategies.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the account executives /Key Account Managers/Sales account managers.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics code and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Recruits, tests, and hires account executives based on criteria agreed upon by the senior management.
  • Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.

Job Responsibilities

Sales Strategy

  • Achieve sales targets for self (if any) and the team in order to ensure that the division targets are achieved.
  • Understand the economic structure of an industry and identify segments within a market; identify a target market.
  • Identify the best customers and develop a strategy accordingly.
  • Understand competitors and their products.
  • Establish environmental scanning mechanisms to detect opportunities and threats.
  • Coordinate the sales function with other parts of the promotional mix, such as advertising, sales promotion, public relations, and publicity.
  • Create a sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Understand where brands should be in the future and provide an empirical basis to write marketing plans regularly to help get there.

Reporting & Forecasting

  • Report sales forecasts and business updates to the immediate supervisor to ensure that the senior sales team is fully informed and able to take timely business decisions, especially regarding the gap between actual and projected sales.
  • Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.

Team Management

  • Manage and coach sales staff to ensure high performance and motivation to achieve division targets.

Internal & External Relationships

  • Support the finance division to ensure healthy and timely collections (cash flow).
  • Coordinate with logistics and service department to ensure timely delivery and installation in line with the customer’s requirements.
  • Maintain relationships with clients by constantly being in touch with them to understand their requirements and manage their expectations.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, software or a related field from a recognised University or Institution.

Skills & Professional Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge or previous experience with CRM tools would be advantageous.

Experience Requirements

  • Successful previous experience of 7-8 years as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
