Safety Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer for our RSA project site in Saudi Arabia. The primary goal is to ensure compliance with safety regulations, foster a strong safety culture, and minimize on-site risks. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, enforcing policies, providing training, and investigating incidents to maintain a secure working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of work areas, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards.
• Enforce established safety protocols and guidelines, recommending improvements when necessary.
• Develop and deliver safety training sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, or near-misses to identify root causes and preventive measures.
• Perform detailed risk assessments of construction activities, machinery, and materials.
• Assist in developing and implementing emergency response procedures, including drills.
• Keep updated on occupational health and safety regulations in Saudi Arabia, ensuring compliance.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety practices into daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Saudi national
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certification is Required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, risk assessment techniques, and emergency response procedures.
• Familiarity with Saudi safety regulations and international standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to train and guide diverse teams.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time role based on-site at the RSA project in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.
• Involves regular site walks, inspections, and potential travel between multiple construction locations.
