We are seeking a Safety Officer to join our team and ensure a safe and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, enforcing, and promoting safety standards and regulations, preventing accidents, and maintaining a safe workplace for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on-site to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor the use of safety equipment and ensure it is maintained and properly utilized.
Conduct safety training programs for employees to ensure awareness and compliance.
Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine causes and recommend preventive measures.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure the implementation of safety protocols across the organization.
Ensure all necessary safety permits and certifications are up to date.
Promote a culture of safety and create awareness through regular safety meetings and communication.
Stay updated with the latest safety regulations, practices, and technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
Certification in Safety Management (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Safety Officer.
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to train and educate employees on safety practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
