Job description

Job Title: Safety Officer
Experience: Minimum 5 Years

Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Salary: Based on experience

Main Responsibilities:

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety standards.
Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend corrective measures to minimize potential hazards.
Ensure proper documentation of safety protocols, inspections, and incident reports.
Monitor and enforce compliance with company and legal safety regulations.
Organize and lead safety training programs for employees to raise awareness of workplace safety.
Investigate workplace accidents or incidents, identify root causes, and recommend preventative measures.
Collaborate with management to establish a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Ensure the availability and proper functioning of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety tools.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors to address safety concerns and ensure compliance.
Prepare detailed safety reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
NEBOSH Certification (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) is mandatory.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer in a similar role, preferably in industrial or construction settings.

Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
Excellent analytical skills to assess risks and develop solutions.
Proficiency in conducting safety audits and preparing reports.
Ability to train and educate employees on safety protocols effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams across different levels of the organization.
Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to workplace safety.
Familiarity with safety management software and tools is an advantage.
