Safety Manager

Job Responsibilities:

1. Identify and assess hazards, risks, and control measures for a specific operation or process.
2. Conduct ongoing reviews of operations and processes to identify potential hazards, risks, and control measures that should be implemented to reduce these risks, including all costs involved in implementing such measures.
3. Assess and document hazards, risks, and controls in a manner consistent with established procedures and practices.
4. Set up and supervise temporary work areas.
5. Supervise the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
6. Supervise the operation of any potential hazards in the workplace.
7. Improve workplace safety and employee productivity by transitioning from manual safety procedures to IT systems HSE requirements.
8. Ensure that health, safety, and environmental policies and local regulations are followed.
9. Investigate workplace accidents and injuries and refer them to the proper authorities.

Qualifications:

1. More than 6 years of experience in the field of HSE. Previous experience in heavy machinery industry and construction projects is preferred.
2. Possess qualifications required by local law and policies stated by government bodies.
3. Strong analytical skills and sensitivity to potential physical hazards and unsafe mentality.
4. Fluent in English and local languages. Excellent communication skills to coordinate progress and decisions in a matrix organization.
5. Strong resilience to handle complicated situations and fast-paced working environments.
6. Strong ambition to succeed with a solid track record of making things happen.
7. Have a university degree and career background from reputable companies in the industry.
8. Based in Indonesia and willing to travel on demand.
