Job description

Job Title: Safety (HSE) Manager - Aramco

Projects Location: Various project sites, often in Saudi Arabia or remote locations as needed

Job Summary:

The HSE Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on Aramco projects. The role requires extensive experience with Saudi Aramco’s safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure project operations meet regulatory and corporate safety guidelines. This role requires close collaboration with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to create a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement HSE Policies and Procedures
  • Formulate, update, and enforce safety policies in line with Saudi Aramco standards and international best practices.
  • Implement HSE management systems, ensuring full compliance with company and client standards.
  • Risk Assessment and Management
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA) to evaluate potential hazards on project sites.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and emergency response plans to address identified risks.
  • Safety Training and Education
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure awareness of HSE policies.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and ongoing safety education sessions.
  • Monitor Compliance and Conduct Inspections
  • Regularly inspect project sites to ensure HSE standards are maintained and enforced.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, generating reports and following up on corrective actions.
  • Accident and Incident Investigation
  • Lead investigations of any accidents, incidents, or near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Document incidents and provide reports to Aramco and senior management, focusing on prevention.
  • Liaison with Regulatory and Client Representatives
  • Serve as the primary contact for Aramco’s HSE team and any relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Attend and participate in client meetings, safety committee meetings, and regulatory audits.
  • Environmental Protection and Compliance
  • Ensure all project activities comply with environmental laws and Aramco’s environmental standards.
  • Oversee waste management, emissions control, and other environmental protection measures.
  • Reporting and Documentation
  • Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, including reports, audits, inspections, and certifications.
  • Provide regular HSE performance reports to project management and the client.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, or equivalent certifications; Aramco-approved safety certifications may be required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in HSE roles, with at least 3 years in managerial positions on large oil & gas or construction projects, ideally with Aramco.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of HSE standards, risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety training.

  • Cultural Awareness: Understanding of and sensitivity to the cultural context in Saudi Arabia and Aramco’s corporate culture.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ﷼8,000.00 - ﷼12,000.00 per month
