The Safety and Security Supervisor will assume the following responsibilities:
Communicate with the Operations Director, Admin Director, Quality Director, and FMS Supervisor regarding the needs and report any changes as required.
Develop and implement safety and security operations, policies, procedures, and training to ensure compliance with all accreditation (CBAHI, CARF, etc.) and/or government operations (HEPPU, Civil Defense, etc.), policies, and procedures.
Manage investigations, compliance audits, and security inspections by government agencies.
Check if all employees are acting in adherence to hospital rules and regulations.
Administer framework necessary to ensure safety and security operations, policies, and procedures; oversee the correction of all issues in the interest of safety, security, and risk reduction.
Assess program risk and assist in the development of appropriate strategy.
Oversee the investigation and correction of all security issues.
Periodically tour buildings and grounds, examining doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure and not tampered with.
Conduct hospital-wide security rounds with the coordination of the FMS supervisor, and significant findings are documented and shared with the Operations Director.
Confront unauthorized persons for questioning, route or detain them, or telephone police for assistance, according to circumstances.
Restrict access to sensitive hospital areas: medical records, admin, pharmacy, equipment, narcotics, controlled vault, and pediatric area.
Skills
Education & Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Safety, HSE, or any related field. Master's preferred;
3 - 5 years of experience in Saudi Arabia;
Certifications/Licensures in Engineering Council, OSHA, and ISO;
Extensive knowledge of fire prevention, safety, and security operations;
Excellent management and supervisory skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
