Vacancy: Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and report on execution of the Safety Plan and safety GIs and Maintenance Procedures during TA activities.
  2. Conduct general safety orientation to all contractor employees.
  3. Review the contractors’ safety programs and hazard identification plans.
  4. Review scaffolding plans, excavation approvals and road closure requests.
  5. Participate in the confined space pre-entry planning activities.
  6. Participate in the job safety analysis sessions.
  7. Participate in Safety evaluation of contractors.
  8. Participate in the turnaround safety forum (development of presentations, delivery of specific slides).
  9. Conduct daily safety inspections by visiting the plant areas and check all maintenance, operations and contractors’ activities to ensure the implementation of all PRC safety requirements.
  10. Manage, maintain and submit the safety-related records, performance indicators, safety observation tracking, and other safety documentation.
  11. Perform work permit system audits and other safety audits requested by Safety Unit Heads.
  12. Participate in the incident investigation, including process safety incidents, and near miss, to ensure root-cause analysis is conducted.
  13. Attend daily turnaround safety review meetings provide updates on safety performance and initiatives.
  14. Conduct field verifications for SAP CSMS safety tasks.
  15. Clarify safety requirements & Standards to proponents.
  16. Conduct safety awareness sessions to contractors.
  17. Conduct behavioral safety observations (SO) and submit observation cards to Safety Unit Head.
  18. Support Safety Unit Head in developing safety publications related to turnaround such as safety flyers, incident alerts, near miss alerts, etc.
  19. Conduct random checks on crane lifting operations to verify the preparation and approval of critical lift plans, adherence to lift plan and JSA requirements.
  20. Inspect erected scaffolds to ensure all safety requirements are implemented.
  21. Respond to all emergencies and emergency drills.
  22. Perform other safety responsibilities assigned by SFD Management.
  23. Conduct random compliance audits for use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers.
  24. Randomly participate in contractor daily toolbox meetings.
  25. Participate in daily site walkthroughs along with site management and safety officers.
  26. Coordinate with other departments and contractors to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
  27. Ensure that all safety documentation and records are properly maintained and up to date.
  28. Attend daily contractor’s safety review meetings and consult with Proponent and Safety Engineers on safety issues.
  29. Participate with the area supervisor and SFD Safety Engineers in area inspections on a daily basis.
  30. Report all safety inspection findings to their supervisor and the Execution Team representative.
  31. Through daily field visit, verify that all personnel are conversant with the PRC safety requirements, and related instructions.
  32. Communicate and distribute materials on safety education, promotion, and awareness.
  33. Ensure the required PPEs are provided, inspected and maintained, enforce the use of PPE.
  34. Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good condition, inspected and users are trained in its use.
  35. Monitor the critical activities continuously, such as confined space entry, crane lifting, hydro jetting, work at height etc.
  36. Provide incident report and conduct internal investigation or participate in team investigation, as directed by SFD Safety Engineers.
  37. Ensure that all incidents are reported to Proponent, Execution Team and SFD.
  38. Support their Execution Team in preparation of safety related documents including Traffic Management Plan.
  39. Record and analyze all information on near miss, injuries, damage/loss (of property, equipment, and production).
  40. Prepare turnaround daily safety dashboards, incident alerts, near miss alerts, safety flyers, safety messages as directed by SFD Safety Engineers.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Nebosh IGC, 8 years of experience in maintenance, shutdown, TA of Oil and Gas industries.
