Rig Safety & Training Coordinator

In this role, the Rig Safety & Training Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing safety protocols and training programs on drilling rigs. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations, develop training content, and foster a culture of safety among rig personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify safety training needs for employees on rig operations.
• Design, develop, and deliver safety training programs tailored to various positions on the rig.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to HSE standards.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain up-to-date records of training certifications and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with management to implement emergency response plans and safety policies.
• Promote safety awareness through ongoing communication, meetings, and training initiatives.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to rig safety.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety coordination or training roles in the Oil & Energy sector.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations and safety training principles.
• Experience with rig operations is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams in high-pressure environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
• Relevant certifications in safety training (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to various rig locations as necessary.
