Job description

The Role

As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for planning and directing the vision laid out by the General Manager. Maintain high standards of food, service, health and safety, ensure the efficient and profitable business performance of the restaurant and the optimal utilization of staff and resources.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Lead and train a multi-cultural team, by showing inspirational leadership and creating self-motivation.
  • Maintain restaurant monthly training program to ensure no drop in standards is tolerated.
  • Provide feedback on Food and Beverage products created to entice guests.
  • Maximize revenue for the outlet through innovative promotional activities, focused guest research, creativity, and innovation.
  • Assist all department heads in questions related to Restaurant and ensure a transparent, smooth, and healthy working relationship with all operating departments.
  • Liaise with Procurement to ensure timely and efficient purchasing, quality, issuing of supplies, and storage of stock.
  • Build excellence only standards with all suppliers.
  • Ensure stock-takes are conducted within policy of our Owning company.
  • Manage the restaurant in the absence of the General Manager while maintaining all standards.
  • Ensure HACCP procedures are complied with and demonstrated within all departments as per corporate directives.
  • Follow all corporate governance as directed by Foods Gate Operating Policies.
  • Keep up to date with competitive restaurants by monitoring and analyzing menus, products, and services to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of products, operating procedures, and service specifications.
  • Fully competent in techniques and knowledge in all departments and openly make suggestions for improvements.
  • Strong communicator with both guests, clients, and partners.
  • Handle guest complaints within the required time frame and inform the outlet/department(s) concerned on the result.
  • Personally demonstrate a commitment to guest service by responding timely to guest needs and inquiries.
  • Follow and enforce correct POS operations, cash handling policies, and cash security.
  • Able to build set menus, dessert menu, and daily specials by coordinating with the chefs.
  • Develop delegation within the team to allow for growth and future Junior Brand managers.
  • Maintain efficient turn time for all tables and retail zones within the business.

  • Minimum 4 years similar experience in fine or casual dining restaurant atmosphere.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ﷼6,000.00 - ﷼7,000.00 per month
