Radiology Technician

Responsibilities

1. Position patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images.
2. Prepare and educate patients about the imaging procedure.
3. Maintain patients records during and after procedures.
4. Monitor patients and ensure their safety during imaging procedures.
5. Calibrate the equipment to provide clear, usable images.
6. Log and organize image results, develop film and assist with the interpretation of the radiograph results.
7. Consult with Radiologists to determine if other images need to be taken.
8. Ensure the proper sterilization and storage of the equipment.
9. Maintain radiographic equipment, and report any equipment failures.

Requirements and Skills

1. Proven work experience as a Radiology Technician or similar role.
2. Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills.
3. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. The ability to operate and understand radiographic technology and equipment.
5. The physical stamina to stand for long periods and operate heavy machinery without assistance.
6. An associate's or bachelor's degree in radiography is preferred.
