Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor specialising in aviation projects to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Quantity Surveyor - Aviation, you will play a crucial role in managing costs for complex aviation infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest standards.

  1. Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for aviation projects, including terminals, runways, and associated facilities
  2. Analyse project costs, risks, and value engineering opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
  3. Develop and maintain cost plans, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports
  4. Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms
  5. Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  6. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and assess variations
  7. Manage change orders and claims, providing detailed cost analysis and recommendations
  8. Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and contractors
  9. Ensure compliance with local and international aviation standards and regulations
  10. Utilise Building Information Modelling (BIM) to enhance cost management processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Professional membership in a recognised quantity surveying body (e.g., RICS)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on aviation projects
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Causeway) and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its applications in cost management
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Comprehensive understanding of aviation industry standards and regulations
  • Experience in cost estimation, contract administration, and procurement processes
  • Knowledge of international construction contracts, particularly FIDIC
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic would be advantageous
