Quality Control (QC) Chemist

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for both gas and bulk products quality analysis and certification.
2. Incoming inspection of raw materials and outsourced products.
3. In-process inspection in the gas plants.
4. Carry out Final product analysis of all gas products.
5. Report failure rate to the concerned immediately and support for the necessary action.
6. Maintaining all QC documents relevant to ISO 9001 QMS & ISO 17025.
7. Responsible for maintaining all analytical equipment and instruments.
8. Responsible for housekeeping and safety in Q.C laboratory and premises.
9. Carry out in-process product quality inspection in coordination with plant operators.
10. Inform QC manager about failure rate of products.
11. Ensure all equipment (Gas analyzers / G.C’s) are being calibrated at regular intervals and intact.
12. Maintain analysis reports.
13. Follow-up quality standards set by the company.
14. Measure / monitor KPI’s.
15. Any other tasks assigned by Quality Control Manager.

Skills

1. University degree in Chemistry (Bachelor / Master).
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality control functions at manufacturing industries; industrial gas field experience is an added advantage.
3. Professional knowledge of laboratory analytical equipment, instruments, and chemicals.
4. Technical / analytical ability to execute.
5. Self-motivated.
6. Good computer skills such as MS Office and other software knowledge and experience.
