Quality Control Manager - Infant Nutrition

Job Description:

OUR CLIENT

Our client is one of the largest FMCG (food) manufacturing and distribution companies in the region, headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They are a market leader in most of their product categories across the GCC, employing over 30,000 individuals contributing to their billion-dollar annual revenue.

An aggressive expansion program, along with acquisitions in new vertical markets, has created an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic multinational team dedicated to furthering growth plans for the group.

THE ROLE

The selected individual will oversee the Quality Control department by ensuring that raw materials, in-process items, and finished products are examined according to the established plan, adhering to the approved budget for resources, labor, and capital. This will provide management with prompt and precise information regarding product quality. The individual will be responsible for guiding the quality control approach and fostering ongoing improvement initiatives by formulating the testing and release plan, supervising the implementation and modification of cutting-edge methods, techniques, or systems to deliver timely, accurate, and cost-effective quality data to management. Additionally, the individual will manage the product stability studies, conduct statistical analysis and trend evaluations, and offer support to the Research and Development team.

Candidates with Quality Control experience in the Infant Nutrition or Pharmaceutical industry are essential.

REQUIREMENTS

University/College Degree in Chemistry, Food/Dairy Science, Microbiology, or any related scientific discipline.

  1. At least 7 years of relevant experience in Quality Control laboratories within a multinational infant nutrition, nutrition, or pharmaceutical company, with at least 3 years of direct management of QC staff functions with proven results.

Demonstrated ability to develop and drive successful QC programs.

  1. Experience in analyzing and interpreting testing data and complex problems to effectively make decisions that provide superior business results without jeopardizing safety and quality.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work with external stakeholders including suppliers, distributors, and third-party service providers.
  3. Good knowledge and experience in statistical techniques SQC and SPC.
  4. Good knowledge and experience in method development and validation.
  5. Good knowledge and experience in the development, implementation, and management of stability studies.

Experience in Food safety related activities, HACCP, VACCP, and TACCP.

To support the product development team and implement and maintain the ISO 17025 accreditation.
