Inspect, test, and measure materials using gauges, calipers, and micrometers, as well as operate electronic inspection equipment to ensure that all necessary procedures and products are inspected to a high standard.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspection to ensure the parts, components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and the SRP meet the approved designs and specifications. Any deviations or non-conformances including proposed changes shall be communicated to the QC Manager.
Maintain detailed testing records.
Provide visual inspection and measurement confirmation for outgoing equipment assemblies, and maintain inspection records and reports.
Ensure that all processes, procedures, specifications, and applicable work instructions required for the quality control process are understood, followed, and appropriate records are maintained.
Maximize output and efficiency.
Accurate maintenance of quality records.
Develop and implement any required Quality Control plans.
Ensure all incoming products, components, services, SRP, and activities meet the specifications.
Resolve issues that arise with MTR and other shipping documents.
Assist with other purchasing/QC/document control duties as they arise.
Suggest QMS documents improvements or revisions.
Calibrate and maintain records of TMMDE calibration status.
Approve final quality control documents such as product and SRP release.
Review and approve supplier quality documentation including secondary process reports for coatings, heat treat, welding, carbide application, MTCs, COCs, and dimensional inspection reports.
Generate and input NCRs into the NCR database for any discrepancies/non-conformances with requirements, product components, services, SRP, or activities that do not meet the engineering and/or order requirements.
Position Requirements
5-10 years’ Quality Control and inspection experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry downhole equipment manufacturing sector (international experience an asset).
Experience and training in CNC machining and programming and usage, and experience in CMM is an asset. Experience with following QMS and applicable industry standard requirements such as ISO 9001, API Q1, and API Q2. Experience in continually improving the Quality Management System processes. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Knowledge of Packers Plus processes (is an asset).
Data-oriented with the ability to analyze data and draw conclusions. Knowledge of raw materials is an asset.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Education and Training
Post-secondary education in Business Management or Engineering. Course work in Quality Control, or equivalent experience is an asset.
Physical and Safety Requirements
Position is Safety Sensitive and subject to a pre-employment medical assessment and drug and alcohol testing.
Subject to post-incident and reasonable-cause drug and alcohol testing.
Extended periods of standing at an inspection bench or table using TMMDE.
Proficient use of a computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
